Mankato man accused in sexual assault of soon-to-be ex-wife

A Mankato man was arrested Wednesday and charged with criminal sexual conduct after 61-year-old Gregg Rodvik’s wife accused him of assaulting her – in a bid to check to see if she was cheating on him.

Mankato Police say Rodvik forcefully digitally penetrated the woman when she returned from giving a friend a ride, claiming he wanted to see whether she had recently had intercourse. While Rodvik claimed that she consented to it, the criminal complaint shows that the woman was adamant that she did not consent.

Investigators say the couple is in the middle of a divorce and sleeping in separate bedrooms in the home. The victim’s daughter was in the home at the time but police say she remained asleep.

In an interview with investigators, Rodvik admitted to putting his, “Finger down there.” He said he was unable to determine whether the victim had recently had intercourse.
