Greater Mankato Growth is proud to announce the 15th annual Songs on the Lawn – the popular summer commencement featuring music, entertainment, and local food. Songs on the Lawn is presented by Xcel Energy and takes place each Thursday in June from 11 am – 1 pm at Civic Center Plaza, starting June 7, 2018. Parking is available around the city center free of charge.
This year’s musical lineup includes:
- June 7 – Jeremy Poland Band
- June 14 – Kind Country
- June 21 – The Porchlights
- June 28 – Murphy Brothers
Songs on the Lawn is a community event for co-workers, families, and friends to gather and enjoy the sun, entertainment, activities, and food. Attendees may purchase lunch and snacks sold by a variety of local vendors including Culver’s Frozen Custard, Dino’s Gourmet Pizzeria, Hy-Vee, New Perspective Senior Living, Olives, Pub 500, The Loose Moose Saloon & Conference Center, Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen, and Tavern of the Avenue.
Attendees are invited to visit local companies such as Cambria, Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota, Ecumen Pathstone Living, Lloyd Management Inc., Mankato Family YMCA, McGowan Water Conditioning, Monarch Healthcare Management, and Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows whom will be occupying a booth space at the event.
Songs on the Lawn is produced by Greater Mankato Growth and sponsored by Xcel Energy. Band support is provided by KMSU through the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
