the msu maverick baseball team is going back to cary, north carolina beginning this saturday at 4pm the the ncaa division 2 college world series.

3 walk-off wins and then a 17-1 thumping of st.cloud state on sunday at franklin rogers park to win the central region tournament.  go mavs!!!!

softball playoffs begin tuesday for many area teams.....baseball later this weekend. many of the big games will be on the fan am 1230 beginning this saturday at 1pm with loyola against martin county west in section 2 baseball at frp.

congrats to new east-loyola boy's hockey coach adam fries and mankato west athletic director ken essay on being named garfield school principal.

busy weekend thhis past weekend...watching msu baseball, the merely players'  the taffetas was great.....the sculpture tour was fun...

did not win the powerball with the co-workers though.....but it is fun dreaming until 9:59pm when you realize you do not have a chance to win..

had a great day saturday at the arthritis walk at spring lake park.......thank you to everyone who pledged the bear.....over $300 in pledges and the goal for the arthritis walk was $28,000....will find out soon how they did....

mac's night was fun saturday night........thanks for playing bingo at the ktoe bingo if you did....also thanks to wendy and ken klingsporn for calling bingo too...

a busy sports week....a busy sport's month.......loyola softball today at 4:30 on the fan, am 1230, tuesday west at east softball at 6pm, maple river at loyola softball thursday at 5pm......welcome back laura !!!   baseball galor next week with lcwm and loyola tuesday and west at east next thursday, may 16th for a doublehead...all on the fan.

it's a very good movie even if you do not like baseball and harrison ford is tremendous as branch rickey....a big thumbs up !!!

will we ever get outside to play baseball or softball or to broadcast the games ?  a few area coaches feel or hope they will be playing by this saturday or next monday.....i hope so too......when will the golf courses open ?   probably late next week.....

denny weller and i both picked yale to win the frozen four...we made our picks thursday afternoon...if you can beat the gophers and north dakota you should be able to win 2 more games........remember....you are only as good as your last prediction.....

some big hall of fame nights next friday night, april 26th........the peppers hall of fame banquet at the loose moose with gary and jodi lunz being inducted along with jerry, sarah and kristin maschka....congrats !!!   the mankato softball hall of fame will be at the american legion that same night....keep tuned for more deatails !!!

had a nice visit with entertainer paul anka last friday......could of went 1 hour...only had  6 minutes with mr. my way.....here is the interview.

miami of ohio beat msu 4-0 in the ncaa hockey playoffs saturday......still a nice year...congrats mike hastings and all the mavericks.

yale comesback with 4 goals in the final 8 minutes to beat north dakota 4-1 and advance to the frozen four....so much for the wcha power......good luck st.cloud state.  

flip says no to the gophers......this will be interesting.......i know i'm in the minority...i would of kept tubby 1 more year....have him get some new assistant coaches....tubby will get the last laugh when he is named new basketball coach at texas tech.

go twins !!!  sunny and 34 on monday.......i hope they postpone the opener to tuesday.......
