One man went to the hospital, another was arrested following a fight at a downtown bus stop early this morning.
Mankato Police got a 911 call just before 2:30 a.m. and they could hear loud voices in the background. Upon arriving at Cherry and Front Street, police say they found James Gerber, 48, of Mankato bleeding from the mouth and nose. He was taken to Immanuel St. Joseph – Mayo Health for treatment.
Two witnesses told police that Daniel James Clement, 28, of Mankato had punched Gerber. Commander Craig Frerichs says surveillance video confirmed the eyewitness accounts.
Clement was arrested and is being held pending a court appearance.
